Blue Mountain Pecans: Grown in the Galeana Valley of Chihuahua

Blue Mountain Is a Real Place

When you see the words Blue Mountain on one of our bags, you might think it’s simply our brand name.

But Blue Mountain begins with a real place.

Our pecans come from the Galeana Valley of Chihuahua, Mexico, where our orchards sit at approximately 4,760 feet above sea level, near the foothills of the mountains that inspired our name.

This valley is our home.

Long before there were Blue Mountain bags on store shelves, there were pecan trees growing here.

And that’s where our story begins.

A Valley at 4,760 Feet

Place matters when you grow food.

Our orchards experience warm, sunny days and cool mountain nights. The seasons change across the valley, transforming the trees from bare winter branches to green spring canopies and, eventually, orchards ready for harvest.

It’s a growing environment we have come to know over generations.

Our family has been growing pecans here since 1971.

That means when we talk about Blue Mountain, we aren’t simply talking about a product. We’re talking about the soil, climate, trees, people and accumulated knowledge behind it.

We know where our pecans come from because we know this valley.

Four Generations in One Place

Over four generations, our relationship with pecans has changed.

What began with planting trees became an orchard.

The orchard became part of a family tradition.

And as more families planted pecan trees, pecans became part of the agricultural story of the valley itself.

Today, when we walk through these orchards, we see more than trees.

We see years of work.

We see families.

We see harvests that have come and gone.

And we see something worth carrying forward.

That sense of continuity is one reason single origin matters so much to us. Knowing where food comes from gives it context. It connects what is inside the package to the landscape and people behind it.

For us, that place is Galeana Valley.

The Orchard Comes First

It can be easy to begin a food story with the finished product.

We prefer to begin with the trees.

Before Sweet Chipotle, Sweet Rosemary, Cinnamon Spice or chocolate-covered pecans, there is the pecan itself.

That’s why the orchard remains at the center of Blue Mountain. We take that pecan and build from there—using simple ingredients and combinations designed to complement it rather than bury it.

Our flavored pecans are baked, never fried, and produced in small batches so we can pay close attention to flavor and texture.

Sometimes that means pairing pecans with the smoky warmth of chipotle.

Sometimes it’s fresh rosemary.

Sometimes cinnamon.

Sometimes chocolate.

Different flavors. Same beginning.

From Our Orchards to Your Table

There is another part of our story that matters just as much as where our pecans begin: where they end up.

  • On a cheese board.
  • In a salad.
  • Beside a glass of wine.
  • Passed around during a gathering.
  • Or opened straight from the bag while everyone reaches in for another

We want Blue Mountain to be the thing someone puts on the table and says: “You have to try this.”

Because ultimately, food grown with this much history behind it shouldn’t stay in the orchard.

It should travel.

It should be tasted.

It should bring people together.

From our orchards to your table.
One valley. Four generations. Made to be shared.
